New Jersey High School Basketball - Wood-Ridge overwhelmed by Rutherford
December 29, 2023: Rutherford, NJ 07070 The Rutherford Bulldogs basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Wood-Ridge Blue Devils to 31 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weehawken for a Northwest Jersey - National contest on Wednesday, January 3. Rutherford will battle a Indians team coming off a 67-59 non-league loss to Hawthorne (Hawthorne, NJ). The Indians record now stands at 3-2.
The Blue Devils (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ). The Gaels come into the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, St. Mary triumphed over Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ), 58-34, in a non-league contest.
