Nevada High School Basketball - Battle Mountain nips Smith Valley
December 3, 2022: Battle Mountain, NV 89820 Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), 26-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Battle Mountain upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV) to play the Serpents in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Serpents go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Mineral County lost 67-17 in their recent non-league bout against Pershing County (Lovelock, NV)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Incline Highlanders (Incline Village, NV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Smith Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 56-5 non-league loss to Churchill County (Fallon, NV).
