The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Smith Valley Bulldogs to 28 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Churchill County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Pershing County will meet a Greenwave team coming off a 55-16 non-league win over Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV). The Greenwave record now stands at 1-0.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sierra Sage Academy/ROP (Yerington, NV). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
