Georgia High School Basketball - Cedar Shoals thwarts Eastside
December 3, 2024: Athens, GA 30605 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA) and the visiting Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA), observed Cedar Shoals's basketball team knock off Eastside by a score of 65-57.
The Jaguars (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA). The Broncos come into the AAAA Region 8 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, East Forsyth prevailed over Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA), 61-51, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) in a AAAA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, December 6. Eastside will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 69-47 league loss to Madison County (Danielsville, GA).
