South Dakota High School Basketball - Brookings overwhelms Yankton
December 30, 2022: Yankton, SD 57078 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) and the host Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD), saw Brookings's basketball squad wallop Yankton by a tally of 63-40.
With the victory, Brookings improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to O'Gorman (Sioux Falls, SD) to confront the Knights in a AA challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. O'Gorman lost 54-45 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN)
Next up, the Bucks/Gazelles confront the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) in a AA challenge, on Friday, January 6. Yankton will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Kernels come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 54-45 non-league loss to Thunder Basin (Gillette, WY).
