California High School Basketball - St. Augustine holds off Archbishop Mitty
December 30, 2023: San Jose, CA 95129 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Augustine Saints (San Diego, CA) and the host Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA), saw St. Augustine's basketball squad hold off Archbishop Mitty by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, St. Augustine improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Madison (San Diego, CA) to confront the Warhawks in a Western challenge on Friday, January 5. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Madison won 57-26 in their recent non-league challenge against San Pasqual (Escondido, CA)
Next up, the Monarchs confront the Bellarmine College Prep Bells (San Jose, CA) in a West Catholic challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Archbishop Mitty will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Bells come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 60-56 non-league win over Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA).
