North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stratford Knights (Goose Creek, SC), 57-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Myrtle Beach upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Chiefs host St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC) to play the Sharks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Sharks go into the bout with a record of 10-1. St. James won 56-48 in their recent non-league bout against Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC)

Next up, the Knights play the Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Stratford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 62-51 non-league win over Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC).
