December 30, 2023: Bristol, CT 06010 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bristol Eastern Lancers (Bristol, CT) and the visiting Berlin Redcoats (Berlin, CT), saw Bristol Eastern's basketball squad hold off Berlin by a tally of 37-34.
With the victory, Bristol Eastern improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT) to play the Spartans in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Lewis Mills won 44-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT)
Next up, the Redcoats play the Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) in a Central Connecticut - South Colonial challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Berlin will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 37-30 non-league win over Rockville (Vernon, CT).
