Connecticut High School Basketball - Middletown can't hold off Bristol Eastern
February 8, 2024: Bristol, CT 06010 The Bristol Eastern Lancers basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Middletown Blue Dragons to 46 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lancers now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bristol Central for a Central Connecticut - West Colonial contest on Monday, February 12. Bristol Eastern will battle a Rams team coming off a 63-39 league win over Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT). The Rams record now stands at 10-8.
The Blue Dragons (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Redcoats enter the Central Connecticut - South Colonial contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Berlin nudged Platt (Meriden, CT), 49-21, in a league contest.
