The Minden Whippets basketball squad scored 63 points and limited the host St. Patrick's Irish to 27 in the Whippets non-league win on Saturday.

With the win, Minden upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Whippets host Ainsworth (Ainsworth, NE) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Ainsworth won 65-56 in their recent non-league bout against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE)

Next up, the Irish clash with the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) in a C2 District 12 bout, on Friday, January 5. St. Patrick's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Plainsmen go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 56-48 non-league loss to Leyton (Dalton, NE).
