December 30, 2024: Saxonburg, PA 16056 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Knoch Knights (Saxonburg, PA) and the visiting Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (Altoona, PA), observed Knoch's basketball team edge Bishop Guilfoyle by a score of 62-57.
The Knights (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA). The Lancers come into the WPIAL 4A 1 challenge with a 9-2 record.
In their next game, the Marauders encounter the Bishop Carroll Huskies (Ebensburg, PA) in a Laurel Highlands challenge, on Friday, January 3. Bishop Guilfoyle will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Portage (Portage, PA).
