Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sullivan County sneaks past Canton
December 30, 2024: Laporte, PA 18626 The Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA) basketball edged the visiting Canton Warriors (Canton, PA), 53-46 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Griffins now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Northwest Area for a Midd-Penn bout on Saturday, January 4. Sullivan County will play a Rangers team coming off a 48-42 non-league win over Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Canton falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. South Williamsport lost 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA)
