Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) fans went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the visiting Interboro Buccaneers (Prospect Park, PA), 49-25 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harriton (Rosemont, PA). The Rams come into the Central challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Harriton trounced East (West Chester, PA), 48-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Buccaneers encounter the Chester Clippers (Chester, PA) in a Delaware Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Interboro will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.
