Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE) and the host Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE), saw Bellevue West's basketball squad overcome Omaha Central by a tally of 67-56.

With the victory, Bellevue West improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA) to confront the Lynx in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Lincoln lost 55-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Omaha South Packers (Omaha, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Friday, January 6. Omaha Central will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record.
