The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) and the visiting Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), observed Georgetown's basketball team overwhelm Elgin by a margin of 55-28.

The Eagles (16-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Weiss (Pflugerville, TX). The Wolves come into the 5A Region III District 23 challenge with a 8-14 record. In their last challenge, Weiss was trounced by Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX), 62-61, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Elgin will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 66-35 non-league win over Brenham (Brenham, TX).
