The New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) basketball felled the visiting West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), 72-59 in Monday's non-league test.

The Bears (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Ashley was beaten by New Bern (New Bern, NC), 60-53, in a non-league test.
