Virginia High School Basketball - Patrick Henry can't hold off Powhatan
December 4, 2023: Powhatan, VA 23139 The Powhatan Indians basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots to 57 in the Indians non-league victory on Monday.
The Indians now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manchester for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 6. Powhatan will battle a Lancers team coming off a 70-68 league loss to James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Lancers record now stands at 1-1.
The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Armstrong (Richmond, VA). The Wildcats come into the Capital contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Armstrong was nudged by James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA), 67-55, in a non-league contest.
