Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 53-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley Central upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Vikings host Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Goldbacks play the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
