In Monday's non-league outing, the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), by a margin of 45-40.

The Golden Tornadoes (4-0) will now prepare for their outing against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Cape Fear was tipped by Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 66-65, in a league outing.

The Fighting Scots now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Marlboro County for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 10.
