Minnesota High School Basketball - Shakopee nips Edina
December 5, 2023: Shakopee, MN 55379 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN) and the visiting Edina Hornets (Edina, MN), saw Shakopee's basketball squad hold off Edina by a count of 61-58.
With the victory, Shakopee upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Sabers host Waconia (Waconia, MN) to play the Wildcats in a AAAA Section 2 challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Waconia won 80-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN)
Next up, the Hornets play the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights (St. Louis Park, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Edina will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Red Knights come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 82-77 non-league win over Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN).
