North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe over Smoky Mountain

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), saw North Buncombe's basketball squad overcome Smoky Mountain by a tally of 82-69.

With the victory, North Buncombe improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Black Hawks travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Mitchell won 67-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Smoky Mountain will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 83-21 league win over Nantahala (Topton, NC).
