December 5, 2023: Blountsville, AL 35031 The Southeastern Mustangs (Remlap, AL) basketball nipped the host Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL), 55-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Cold Springs (Bremen, AL). The Eagles go into the 2A Area 11 test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Cold Springs was tipped by Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL), 51-40, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Brindlee Mountain for a 3A Area 13 test on Friday, December 8. Pennington will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 42-24 league loss to Susan Moore (Blountsville, AL). The Lions record now stands at 6-4.
