The Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 53-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Sun Valley was tipped by Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC), 83-21, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Porter Ridge will encounter a Ragin' Bulls squad coming off a 45-37 non-league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 4-1.
