December 5, 2023: Laporte, MN 56461 The Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves basketball team scored 88 points and restricted the host Laporte Wildcats to 29 in the Wolves league victory on Tuesday.
The Wolves now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nevis for a A Section 5 contest on Friday, December 8. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will battle a Tigers team coming off a 65-41 league win over Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Cass Lake-Bena triumphed over Clearbrook-Gonvick (Clearbrook, MN), 60-40, in a league contest.
