Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE), 63-23 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwest advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Roughriders host Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE) to face the Wolves in a D1 District 11 match on Saturday, December 7. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 0-0.

The Raiders now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paxton for a non-league match on Friday, December 6. Medicine Valley will face a Tigers squad coming off a 59-33 non-league loss to Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
