In Friday's league contest, the host Spearville Lancers basketball team scored a good 60-40 triumph over the Bucklin Red Aces.

The Lancers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dodge City (Dodge City, KS). The Demons go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Dodge City was topped by West (Wichita, KS), 85-82, in a non-league contest.
