The crowd at Friday's league match between the Pinon Eagles (Pinon, AZ) and the visiting Valley Pirates (Sanders, AZ), saw Pinon's basketball team tip Valley by a margin of 58-52.

The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon, AZ). The Phantoms go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Grand Canyon nipped Rough Rock (Chinle, AZ), 58-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Ganado Hornets (Ganado, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 9. Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 89-27 non-league loss to Winslow (Winslow, AZ).
