In Friday's non-league battle, the Helena Huskies (Helena, AL) basketball squad held off the visiting McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL), by a count of 38-34.

With the victory, Helena advances its record to 2-7 on the year. The Huskies travel to Bibb County (Centreville, AL) to meet the Choctaws in a non-league battle on Monday, December 8. The Choctaws enter the battle with a record of 2-1. Bibb County won 59-40 in their recent non-league battle against Montevallo (Montevallo, AL)

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shades Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, December 8. McAdory will encounter a Mounties team coming off a 71-39 non-league win over Huffman (Birmingham, AL). The Mounties record now stands at 8-2.
