The Mitchell County Eagles basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Stewart County Royal Knights to 26 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quitman County for a A D2 Region 1A contest on Friday, December 9. Mitchell County will meet a Hornets team coming off a 74-49 league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-3.
