North Carolina High School Basketball - Westover holds off Pine Forest

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) and the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), saw Westover's basketball squad hold off Pine Forest by a tally of 58-57.

With the victory, Westover improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Trojans confront the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 23 challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Pine Forest will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 73-56 league loss to E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC).
