The Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) basketball nipped the host Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), 70-69 in Friday's league test.

The Jaguars (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Triton got by Harnett Central (Angier, NC), 69-43, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Terry Sanford for a 3A/4A Conference 23 test on Monday, February 13. Pine Forest will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 65-57 league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-9.
