In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting McCreary Central Raiders basketball team scored a close 60-53 triumph over the Rockcastle County Rockets.

The Raiders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Maroons go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.

In their next game, the Rockets confront the Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Rockcastle County will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bobcats go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 64-51 non-league loss to Hazard (Hazard, KY).
