Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington Eagles (Houston, TX), 51-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Austin advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 6-4. Houston Math Science & Tech won 35-19 in their recent non-league match against Kashmere (Houston, TX)

The Eagles now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Forest for a 4A Region III District 20 match on Friday, December 13. Washington will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 68-15 league loss to Yates (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.
