The Van Vleck Leopards nipped the visiting Austin Mustangs basketball squad by a final score of 47-44 in Saturday's non-league game.

The Leopards now have a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Royal for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 9. Van Vleck will confront a Falcons team coming off a 50-38 non-league win over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Austin falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Milby (Houston, TX) to confront the Buffs in a 5A Region III District 21 game on Monday, December 8.
