California High School Basketball - Union Mine loses to Ponderosa

December 6, 2025: El Dorado, CA 95623

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) and the host Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), observed Ponderosa's basketball team knock off Union Mine by a score of 73-62.

The Bruins (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rocklin (Rocklin, CA). The Thunder come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Rocklin prevailed over Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 83-61, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Diamondbacks encounter the Del Campo Cougars (Fair Oaks, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Union Mine will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 90-45 non-league win over Woodland (Woodland, CA).
