The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Vista del Lago Eagles (Folsom, CA) and the host Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), observed Vista del Lago's basketball team overcome Ponderosa by a margin of 65-56.

The Eagles (7-20) will now prepare for their match against Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA). The Broncos enter the Capital Valley Conference match with a 13-13 record. In their last match, Bella Vista lost by Woodcreek (Roseville, CA), 56-40, in a league match.

The Bruins now own a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Inderkum for a Capital Valley Conference match on Friday, February 13. Ponderosa will face a Tigers squad coming off a 68-61 league loss to Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 19-8.
