In Saturday's non-league test, the Springfield Longhorns (Springfield, CO) basketball squad trounced the visiting South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] Patriots (Vilas, CO), by a tally of 53-15.

The Longhorns now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Wiley for a 1A Arkansas Valley bout on Tuesday, December 9. Springfield will play a Panthers team coming off a 67-31 non-league win over Hi-Plains (Seibert, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
