The Veterans Memorial Patriots bounced the visiting Wagner Thunderbirds basketball squad by a final score of 61-37 in Saturday's non-league game.

The Patriots now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Boerne for a 5A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, December 9. Veterans Memorial will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 71-53 non-league loss to Ray (Corpus Christi, TX). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Wagner falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX) to clash with the Unicorns in a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, December 9. The Unicorns come into the test with a record of 11-2. New Braunfels won 66-49 in their recent non-league test against Miller (Corpus Christi, TX)
