In Wednesday's league match, the host Churchill County Greenwave basketball team scored a tight 51-47 triumph over the Sparks Railroaders.

In their next game, the Greenwave face the Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 9. Churchill County will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 56-54 non-league loss to Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV).
