The Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) basketball crushed the host Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL), 58-35 in Wednesday's league test.

The Thunderbirds (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Raptors go into the Southland test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Rich Township was trounced by Morgan Park (Chicago, IL), 49-35, in a non-league test.

The Kays now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bloom for a Southland test on Thursday, December 8. Kankakee will encounter a Blazing Trojan squad coming off a 56-27 league loss to Thornwood (South Holland, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 3-1.
