December 7, 2023: Toulon, IL 61483 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL) and the visiting Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats (Cuba, IL), saw Stark County's basketball squad wallop Cuba/Spoon River Valley by a tally of 64-17.
With the victory, Stark County improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Lowpoint-Washburn won 50-22 in their recent non-league challenge against DePue (DePue, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the West Prairie Cyclones (Sciota, IL) in a Prairieland challenge, on Friday, December 8. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 42-34 league loss to Lewistown (Lewistown, IL).
