Virginia High School Basketball - Warwick crushes Gloucester
December 7, 2023: Newport News, VA 23601 Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), 72-25 in a league bout.
With the win, Warwick upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Raiders host Heritage (Newport News, VA) to play the Hurricanes in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Heritage lost 91-38 in their recent league bout against Woodside (Newport News, VA)
Next up, the Dukes play the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 57-44 league win over Lakeland (Suffolk, VA).
