February 3, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) and the visiting Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), saw Nansemond River's basketball squad overcome Warwick by a tally of 60-40.
With the victory, Nansemond River improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA) to confront the Bruins in a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Western Branch won 66-43 in their recent league challenge against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Warwick will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 17-1 record after their 68-52 non-league loss to Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA).
