The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host High Plains Storm to 24 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sutton for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. McCool Junction will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 42-30 non-league win over Heartland (Henderson, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-0.

The Storm (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Nebraska Christian triumphed over Heartland Lutheran (Grand Island, NE), 56-35, in a non-league contest.
