Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) and the visiting Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY), saw Somerset's basketball squad hold off Rockcastle County by a tally of 59-56.

With the victory, Somerset improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Briar Jumpers host Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10.
