The George Washington Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Mecklenburg County Phoenix to 28 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bassett for a Piedmont contest on Tuesday, December 12. George Washington will meet a Bengals team coming off a 33-27 non-league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 2-2.
