Virginia High School Basketball - George Washington overwhelms Halifax County
January 26, 2024: South Boston, VA 24592 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) and the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), saw George Washington's basketball squad wallop Halifax County by a count of 54-20.
With the victory, George Washington upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Piedmont challenge on Monday, January 29. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Martinsville lost 48-40 in their recent league challenge against Bassett (Bassett, VA)
Next up, the Comets play the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Halifax County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 47-41 league loss to George Washington (Danville, VA).
