Virginia High School Basketball - Tunstall holds off Halifax County
January 19, 2024: Dry Fork, VA 24549 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) and the visiting Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), saw Tunstall's basketball squad hold off Halifax County by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Tunstall improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Trojans host Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to confront the Bulldogs in a Piedmont challenge on Monday, January 22. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Martinsville lost 55-50 in their recent league challenge against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA)
Next up, the Comets confront the Northern Durham Knights (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Halifax County will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 98-5 league loss to Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
