The Halifax County Comets basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Gretna Hawks to 43 in the Comets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Comets now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Person for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Halifax County will meet a Rockets team coming off a 56-44 non-league win over Northern Durham (Durham, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 5-2.
