California High School Basketball - Canyon nips Sonora

December 9, 2022: La Habra, CA 90631

Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sonora Raiders (La Habra, CA), 66-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Canyon upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Comanches travel to La Serna (Whittier, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 6-3. La Serna won 51-47 in their recent non-league bout against Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Sonora will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 56-53 non-league loss to Irvine (Irvine, CA).
